EXPRESSIONS from Sue Hyatt It has been awhile since I last sent a personal update to those who are especially interested in THE CHRISTIAN WOMEN'S STUDIES PROGRAM and THE INT'L CHRISTIAN WOMEN'S HISTORY PROJECT & HALL OF FAME. So, today, let me first give you an update and then share some exciting news.
In November and early December, we still had much work to do on HYATT HOUSE--painting, decorating, and setting up the classroom/recording studio, the ICWHP Research Center, and The Hall. (The house also provides us with a private suite for Eddie and me, as well as office space.)
December was an eventful month! We endured Oklahoma's most destructive ice storm ever and were without power for a few days. While still recovering, we enjoyed the company of a friend from Finland for several days. And we hosted Christmas for the first time in 20 years, enjoying a family Christmas Eve Dinner.
And suddenly, it was January!
With the New Year came an amazing, new tool for delivering Bible teaching and ministry to the whole world from right here at Hyatt House when we acquired the ability to send LIVE INTERNET STREAMING 24/7 and ARCHIVING for ON DEMAND access!*
Eddie and I forged ahead quickly, and on January 8th, we streamed our first HOME BIBLE STUDY & FELLOWSHIP. We have now completed 3 Tuesday Night Home Bible Studies, and response has been so encouraging! Each week, we are improving, especially in the technical part of the process, and we are gaining the courage to spread our wings a bit more.
THE NEXT PHASE is to present my course, THE SPIRIT, THE BIBLE & WOMEN--A REVIVAL PERSPECTIVE, from the live classroom here at Hyatt House while, at the same time, streaming it live around the world and archiving it for convenient on-demand study.
THE TARGET DATE to begin THE COURSE is Monday, MARCH 3, with 2 lessons being streamed each Monday night from 7 - 9 (CST).
NO TUITION FEES will be charged so as to make the course readily accessible to as many men and women as possible around the world. Those who want credit will need to register and take an open-book exam. Even if you simply want to audit the course, it would be helpful to me if you would register.
Now 2 main tasks are keeping me busy!
The first is to turn my textbook, manual, and other writings for the course into E-BOOK FORMAT so that they can be downloaded by students around the world.
The second is to prepare messages with PowerPoint presentations for the conference at Arken Church and Bible School in Sweden in February, where I have been asked to minister on issues related to women. I am so aware of my need for continued prayer support and financial partnership. Every day, I pray for and RECEIVE GOD'S PROVISION OF EVERY GOOD KIND, that He may reach hearts and minds through Eddie and me and those He sends into our lives. His!
